Tea Cakes

1 cup butter
1 heaping cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3 cups all purpose flour
3 T. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 13 minutes, depending on size of cakes.
